A new life at San Patrignano
When we arrived, we had resigned ourselves, thinking all our chances had been used up. We found a new home, an extended family, the courage to try again, to start growing and building a future for ourselves. Many of us dream of a career in the culinary arts, whether cooks, pastry chefs, maître d’ or sommelier. Fabio Rossi is an inspiration, with his true love of cooking. Vite Restaurant is an opportunity for us to proudly show what we can do and who we are.
Our restaurant is called “Vite”, meaning “vine”, like the vineyards that cover the hills surrounding San Patrignano. But "Vite” also means “lives”, and that’s what San Patrignano is defending and fighting for each day: the lives of those that come here asking for a chance. From social exclusion and addiction we found passion, enthusiasm and a willingness to change.
Today’s Vite restaurant focuses on bringing the freshest seasonal produce, right from the farm, and at the same time provide an invaluable professional training opportunity for the young people of the Community – through internships and exchanges, collaborations with social enterprises, and training with local culinary and hospitality schools.
Quality at the right price
The menu at Vite is centered on San Patrignano’s own produce, with a selection of sophisticated and tasty dishes, using the freshest ingredients, all at a fair price. Knowledge of local produce and traditions, passion and experience are the essential qualities which Chef Fabio Rossi brings to the restaurant. We are now featuring three new tasting menus, including at lunchtime: we look forward to welcoming you back to Vite!
